How to Add a Storage Widget to Your Home Screen and Lock Screen on iPhone
Swipe Clean has three widgets: Storage (free space), Ready to Clean (what your last scan found and your companion) and System Monitor (memory and storage). They come in Home Screen and Lock Screen sizes, and tapping opens the matching tool.
The problem
You only think about storage when it’s already full, in the middle of recording a video or an iOS update. The warning arrives when it’s too late to calmly clean. Opening Settings → Storage regularly isn’t something anyone does.
The three widgets
| Widget | What it shows | Sizes |
|---|---|---|
| Storage | Free space, and a way into cleanup | Small, medium, Lock Screen circular and rectangular |
| Ready to Clean | What your last scan found, and how your companion is growing | Small, medium, Lock Screen rectangular |
| System Monitor | Memory and storage at a glance; tap for live CPU and memory | Small, medium, Lock Screen circular and rectangular |
How to add one
- Long-press the Home Screen (or the Lock Screen).
- Tap the add button and search for Swipe Clean.
- Pick a widget and size, and place it.
- Tap it any time to jump into the tool.
Tips
- A Lock Screen storage gauge means you see it every time you pick up the phone.
- Ready to Clean shows the figure from your last scan. Rescan to refresh it.
- Widgets update on iOS’s schedule, not instantly, so the number may lag a little behind the app.
