About MZSoft
Software that respects the people who use it.
MZSoft is a software company based in Berlin. Since 2025 we have shipped 31 products for iPhone, iPad, Mac and the browser — cameras, navigation instruments, translation and professional Mac tools. All of them are built on one principle: your data stays on your device unless you decide otherwise.

Our mission
Most apps are free because the people using them are the product. We think useful software should earn its keep the old way — by being worth paying for — and that an app which photographs, records, locates or translates for you has no business sending that data anywhere you did not ask it to.
So we make focused tools, each doing one job completely, with the processing on your device. When a feature truly needs the cloud, you turn it on, and the policy tells you exactly what leaves.
Product lines
All 31 products →Capture
Cameras for work that has to be documented: location-stamped evidence, two-camera recording, presenter video.
Navigation
Instruments for people who navigate for real — military grid references, speed and route logging.
Language
Translation that works offline first, with an opt-in cloud tier for when quality matters more than signal.
How we work
Private by architecture
Processing happens on the device by default. When a feature genuinely needs a server, it is opt-in, asked for in the app, and documented line by line in that app’s privacy policy.
One job, done completely
Each product covers a single intent end to end. We would rather ship a second product than bolt a second purpose onto the first.
Fair pricing
Where the work allows it, you buy once. Subscriptions exist only where a real recurring cost — cloud models, servers — sits behind them.
Support from engineering
Support requests go straight to engineering, not to a script or a ticket queue. Most are answered within one business day.
Our platform
Every product runs on the same in-house foundation, which is why a fix or a new model reaches all of them at once — and why the privacy guarantees hold the same way in each.
On-device AI
Core ML, ONNX Runtime and sherpa-onnx models running locally for vision, speech and translation — packaged once, reused across products.
Opt-in cloud gateway
One controlled entry point for the cloud features users choose to turn on, with App Attest, quotas and provider routing — never a default path for user data.
Release pipeline
Automated builds, localization and App Store delivery, so a fix reaches every product in weeks, not quarters.
Feedback loop
An in-app feedback and rating system shared by every app, feeding the support inbox and the roadmap directly.
Leadership
Yongliang Wang
Founder & CEO
Yongliang founded MZSoft in 2025 after fifteen years building platform infrastructure — Go services, Kubernetes and multi-cloud systems at the scale of ten thousand nodes, most recently on a cloud security platform. He leads product and engineering, and brings that infrastructure discipline to software people hold in their hands.
