Media Resource Downloader: What's Free and What Pro Adds

TL;DR

Free: scan, preview, filters, select and download files, six interface languages. Pro (one-time lifetime licence) adds ZIP packaging, CSV export, auto-refresh, the dark theme toggle, resolution overlays on previews, and priority support.

The problem

You want to know whether the free version is enough before installing, or whether you’ll hit a paywall halfway through a job.

Free

  • Scan the current page for images (including CSS backgrounds), audio and video.
  • Thumbnails, image viewer with zoom and drag, built-in audio/video player, details panel with size and address.
  • Select individual items or Select All per tab; download them.
  • Smart filters: hide duplicate URLs, minimum width/height, search by name or URL.
  • Full-view window for long lists.
  • Interface in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese and German (or follow the browser).

Pro (lifetime)

  • ZIP packaging of the selected files.
  • CSV export of the current list.
  • Auto-refresh (re-scan every 10–180 seconds).
  • Dark theme toggle.
  • High-quality previews: resolution overlays and larger thumbnails.
  • Priority support.

The comparison table on the settings page also lists smart filters as a Pro item. In the current build the filters are available to everybody; that may change, so check the table in the app for the latest.

Buying and activating

  1. Open Settings (gear icon).
  2. Press Buy with Stripe and finish the payment on Stripe’s page. The extension itself never sees card details.
  3. Paste the licence code from your confirmation into the box and press Activate.
  4. Refresh Status if it doesn’t update. Deactivate removes Pro from this browser.

The code is checked against license.mzjpg.com. Only the code is sent, no page content or URLs. Checks run when you activate and about every three days.

Recommendation

If you grab a handful of images at a time, free is plenty. If you export whole pages into folders or archives, Pro saves real time.

FAQ

Is Pro a subscription? No. The settings page calls it Pro (Lifetime), bought once through Stripe.

How do I activate it? Open the settings (gear icon), paste the licence code you received after purchase and press Activate.

Does it check my licence online? Yes. It checks your code against license.mzjpg.com when you activate and about once every three days. Only the code is sent.

What if I’m offline? If a check can’t reach the server, the extension keeps your last known status.
