How to Save and Share Colorized Photos: Free Watermark and Size Limits vs. Pro

TL;DR

Your results are kept in ReColor's library at full quality. When you save to Photos or share, free exports are scaled to 1280 px on the long side and get a small ReColor watermark; Pro exports at full resolution with no watermark.

The problem

You’ve finished a lovely colourisation and the file you shared is small and stamped. Or you saved it, upgraded later and wondered whether you’d lost the good version. It’s not obvious what’s kept where.

Where your results live

Each colourisation is kept as a project in ReColor’s library, with the original and the full result stored privately in the app. You can reopen, re-export or delete them at any time.

What you export

When you Save to Photos or Share, ReColor makes an export copy:

FreePro
SizeUp to 1280 px long sideFull resolution
WatermarkSmall ReColor mark in the cornerNone

The editor reminds you with “Free export is watermarked and reduced” and a shortcut to upgrade.

Steps

  1. Open the result and check it.
  2. Tap Save to Photos (it asks for permission to add photos) or use Share to send it.
  3. For prints, use Pro, and run HD Upscale first if it’s small.

Tips

  • Share a before/after screenshot of the slider if you’d like family to see the change.
  • Upgrade, then re-export. The full-quality result is still there, so earlier work isn’t wasted.
  • Keep your original. It’s stored in the app, and you should keep the file you scanned elsewhere too.

FAQ

Is the watermark on the photo I keep in the app? No. The watermark and size cap apply to what you export (save to Photos or share). The version in the app’s library is the full result.

What size is a free export? Up to 1280 px on the long side.

Do I get the original size with Pro? Yes, full resolution with no watermark (up to the 4096 px working size, or the upscaled size).

Can I re-export later after upgrading? Yes. The full result is in the library, so exporting again after upgrading gives the Pro version.
