How to Colorize a Whole Album of Old Photos at Once (Batch Mode, up to 10)
Batch mode (Pro) takes up to 10 photos, colourises them in sequence on the phone, stores each as a project and lets you save all to Photos at once. Review every result, because batch is fast, not blind.
The problem
You’ve decided to do the whole shoebox, and colourising one photo at a time means tapping through the same steps thirty times. By the fifth picture most people stop, and the album stays half done.
How batch mode works
Batch colourise (from Home, Pro) lets you pick up to 10 photos. ReColor then colourises them sequentially on the device. Each result is saved as a project in the in-app library, and you can Save all to Photos in one tap.
Steps
- Tap Batch colorize on Home (Pro).
- Select up to 10 photos from your library.
- Start. A progress view shows each one finishing.
- Open each result and check it with the slider.
- Tap Save all to Photos, or save individually.
- Repeat with the next 10.
Tips for a smooth session
- Group similar photos (same era, similar lighting) so you can judge them together.
- Prepare the scans first. A batch of poor scans gives a batch of poor results. See preparing old prints.
- Check every result. Batch is fast, not blind.
- Do the upscaling after, on the ones you want to print. See HD Upscale.
- Keep the app open while it works.
Free alternative
Without Pro, you can colourise 3 photos a day, one at a time, with watermarked exports. See Free vs. Pro.
