How to Rotate Sideways or Upside-Down PDF Pages on iPhone
Rotate the current page left or right from the editor, or use Rotate All Left / Rotate All Right in the menu. The rotation is saved into the exported PDF and combines with crops and splits.
The problem
A scanner fed the paper sideways, or the phone camera captured a landscape page, so the PDF opens turned 90° or upside down. You can rotate the view while reading, but when you send the file the recipient sees it wrong again.
Steps
- Open the PDF in the editor.
- Turn the current page with the rotate left / right buttons.
- For the whole document, open the menu and choose Rotate All Left or Rotate All Right.
- Crop or split if you also need it, then Export.
How it works
The page’s rotation flag is changed in the exported PDF, so the content isn’t re-rendered. Because the file keeps its original quality, rotate-and-export is quick even for big scans.
Tips
- Rotate first, then crop, so the crop box matches what you see.
- Mixed documents (some pages upright, some sideways) need page-by-page rotation.
- Turning pages by 180° needs two taps.
Free and Pro
Rotating a single page is available to everyone. Rotating all pages in one go counts as a batch action, like Apply to All Pages.
FAQ
Is the rotation permanent? It is saved in the exported PDF, so it opens that way in other apps.
Can I rotate just one page? Yes. Rotate the current page, or use the menu to rotate every page.
Does rotating break my crop? No. The crop or split lines are carried with the page when it rotates.
Is rotating all pages free? Single-page rotation is free. Rotating the whole document at once is a batch action.
