How to View Docker Containers and Their CPU and Memory on iPhone

TL;DR

If the SSH user can run docker, ServerPanel shows a read-only list of containers with live stats alongside the host CPU, memory and disk. To restart or inspect a container, use the terminal or a snippet.

The problem

The server is at 90% CPU. top shows a handful of node and java processes, but on a Docker host that doesn’t say which container they belong to. To find out you SSH in, run docker stats, wait for it, and read a wide table on a narrow screen. Then you want to check the host’s memory and disk too, and you’re juggling three commands.

What ServerPanel shows

On the server’s dashboard, alongside host CPU, memory, disk and network, there is a read-only container list with live stats per container. It’s built from docker ps and docker stats --no-stream, run over your SSH connection with each refresh.

Seeing the host and its containers together makes the cause obvious: “the API container is using 3 GB and CPU is pinned”.

Requirements

  • Docker is installed on the server.
  • The SSH user is allowed to run docker (usually by being in the docker group).

If either isn’t true, the section stays empty. No error is shown, because the commands are best-effort.

What to do when you find the culprit

The list doesn’t have action buttons by design, since a stray tap shouldn’t restart production. Open the terminal and use a command, or a snippet such as Docker logs or cleanup. Preset commands exist for compose logs and Docker cleanup.

Tips

  • Combine with threshold alerts so you’re told when the host crosses a limit, then open the container list to find out why.
  • If the list is slow on a host with many containers, increase the refresh interval.

FAQ

Can I start or stop containers from the list? No. The list is read-only. Use the terminal or a snippet for actions.

Why is the Docker section empty? Docker may not be installed, or your SSH user may not have permission to run docker. The app quietly shows nothing in that case.

Does it need an agent? No. It runs docker ps and docker stats over your SSH connection.
